Why Second Set of Eyes collects or retains data

  • Clients of Second Set of Eyes provide Second Set of Eyes with data that they have collected so that we can analyse and/or audit


Data collection policy

  • Clients must only provide de-identified data to Second Set of Eyes. 

  • Second Set of Eyes does not collect or retain identifiable personal data from visitors to the Second Set of Eyes website.

If a breach occurs
If a data breach occurs, Second Set of Eyes will quickly assess whether this is an 'eligible data breach' as defined by Australian law, that is a breach likely to result in serious harm to any individual. If this occurs we will promptly notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner and the affected individuals at likely risk of serious harm. If the breach is minor, we will report it to our client as soon as possible so the client can take appropriate remedial  action.

If at any time during this breach we are in possession of identifiable personal information we will

  • Store it securely

  • Delete or destroy it when we no longer need it

  • Never sell or trade it

  • Never give it or show it to anyone who does not have authority to see it.

Second Set of Eyes complies with:

  • The Australian Privacy Act (1988)

  • The Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017

  • The Code of Professional Behaviour of the Australian Market and Social Research Society

This policy is effective from 15 October 2018. We may change this policy from time to time. Although we intend to observe this Privacy Policy at all times, it is not legally binding on Second Set of Eyes in any way.
